🗞 TL;DR - LinkedIn just got a new full-screen vertical video feed – essentially a TikTok-style feed. Now they’re providing tips on how users can lean into the content trend and grab attention with short-form clips.
💡 Insight - Here are LinkedIn’s biggest three takeaways:
Keep it short, vertical, and include captions. Over 15 secs and under 2 mins is the sweet spot to hold viewers’ attention.
Your content doesn’t have to be exclusive to LinkedIn. If you’ve got business or work-related videos that performed well on other platforms, feel free to try them on LinkedIn.
Always include a strong accompanying post. Use the post text to provide context and complement your video with some key takeaways. Try to aim for a minimum of 50 words.
And it doesn’t hurt to keep in mind what works on the platform: industry-related content, workplace humor, videos with standalone knowledge, and videos that encourage engagement.
