💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Yup, it’s already that time of year: holiday campaign planning. With six months until peak holiday shopping season, now’s the time to start planning and looking towards the busiest retail and eCommerce time of the year. Reddit just published a new guide to help you do exactly that, by understanding how their platform can help.

💡 Insight - According to Reddit, starting in April, travel accounts for 35% of holiday conversations, while gifting makes up 22% and holiday parties make up 8%. By November/December, hosting and menu planning have moved to the largest total share of conversations.

Reddit recommends brands use a full-funnel strategy to reach prospective customers. From building awareness through discovery, to driving consideration, to converting interest into action, and incentivizing loyalty, the gold standard process is still the gold standard here.

Also according to Reddit, 1-in-3 shoppers who first heard about a product on Amazon or Google turned to Reddit for additional research. Plus, 85% of people who used Reddit when looking into holiday gifting ultimately made a purchase.
