💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Disney, Amazon, and Discord have all rolled out new ad formats which allow brands to attract consumers to their products through gaming. What is ad gamification, exactly? They’re fun new ad options to stand out from the crowd and attract users to your brand.

đź’ˇ Insight - Disney offers two opportunities to take part in these “advergames” – Quiz Show, which allows brands to create a short trivia game, and Beat the Clock, which incorporates a brand’s identity into rapid-fire games. Topgolf was the first brand to take advantage of the Beat the Clock ad format, allowing viewers to “practice golf” using their TV remotes.

Amazon’s interactive brand trivia ads allow advertisers to incorporate brand facts into a quiz-like game, where users have the option to request more information from the brand, add products to their cart, and obtain Amazon shopping credit rewards. This was a huge asset to advertisers during Prime Day to stand out from the competition.

Lastly, a bit more niche with gamers, Discord’s “sponsored quests” allows users who stream on Discord to play games that contain sponsored quests and give them the chance to earn rewards. Users watching the stream can also join the game and complete the quests themselves to earn rewards. Overall, while all three of these opportunities are new, your brand could be one of the first to really knock them out of the park!
