💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Are you running ads on Reddit? Why not? While Reddit may have fewer overall users than the other big social apps, the magic is in its highly engaged niche subreddit communities. These areas are a goldmine for product research and discovery. Reddit’s traffic is also up 57% year-over-year (with 342M users per week), so maybe it’s worth reallocating some spend from Google over to the social network.

💡 Insight - Not sure where to start with Reddit ads? Reddit simplifies ad campaigns into three key areas for optimization:

  • Placement - use a diverse mix of placements to ensure you’re making the most of your performance

  • Creative - a variety of creatives hitting upon different topics has more potential to drive users down the funnel

  • Frequency - to reach Reddit users multiple times a week, ensure sufficient media weight and impression density (pro tip: campaigns on Reddit should aim for an average of 3-5 impressions per week)

According to Reddit, layering in Conversation Placements can boost Action Intent for your campaign 3.5x more than just with Promoted Posts.

Additionally, video and text formats tend to drive the strongest Action Intent lift, so again, it’s best to vary your creative between these two formats.
