📰 TL;DR - TikTok’s pushing hard for Black Friday ad sales. They’re providing advertisers with “Hashtag Audiences,” custom audience packages of people most likely to buy a brand’s product based on a number of signals.
To participate, marketers need to create a campaign by October 25 and spend at least $1k/day on incremental spend toward the custom audience for at least a week-long period in Q4. Not required but recommended: spending $250k minimum during BFCM across all placements.
💡 Insight - If you’re looking at those metrics and thinking “that’s a big chunk of change,” don’t count yourself out yet. You can still have success with smaller budgets. Don’t take TikTok off your list.
According to TikTok, nearly 70% of users are expected to make a Black Friday purchase. 80% of users who bought something on BFCM last year said TikTok played a role in their purchase decision.
Consider the quality of your ad creative & copy. Are you speaking directly to your custom audience? Are you answering their questions and attracting their interest? Even the most well-funded ads can fail if the ad isn’t good.
