A customer journey map is a visual representation of each point of interaction your customers have with your company. Creating the map can not only be a great team exercise but also something that’s important to revisit and return to so as not to lose sight of your customers’ needs.

  • The buying process - What steps does a customer follow to make a purchase decision? Where could they potentially drop off?

  • Emotions - What emotions do your customers feel at different touchpoints in their interaction with your brand?

  • User actions - What steps do customers take when they interact with your brand? What do people do at each stage or in each area?

  • User research - What do customers search for related to your product or service? Where do they turn for information when purchasing?

  • Solutions - What actions and strategies does your brand implement to address customer pain points? What can you do to improve their overall experience?
