Today's top marketing news, tips, & tools
Hey there,
Yesterday, I worked from a legitimate office. Most days, I work from a desk at home. It reminded me how useful a change of scenery can be (although I did miss my dog). Highly recommend scheduling one day this week to work from a different place than usual. Give it a try & let me know how it goes!

✨ Today’s Insight ✨
📰 TL;DR - If you want to better understand what your customers want from your brand on social media, you might want to know what they’re using social media for.
Haiilo and Social Media Today shared an infographic detailing why and what people share on social media, broken down into three distinct areas: the reasons people share, what people share, and what different age groups share.
đź’ˇ Insight - Consider what motive your consumers have to share on social media. Some of these motives might include: bringing valuable content to others in their network, defining themselves, staying connected with a community, for self-fulfillment, or supporting causes & brands.
Identify which type of content people are sharing. This could be entertaining, inspiring, educational, or convincing. And the intent behind each of these types can also correlate with the reasoning behind sharing.
Lean into the divisional interests of your audience. Said another way, different generations have different consumption habits. Once you know which segment of your audience you want to target, lean into their unique uses of social media.
