✨ Today’s Insight ✨

đź“° TL;DR - LinkedIn just dropped their new marketing campaign focusing on the complexities of B2B marketing and how no one outside of experts understands what we’re talking about. So true.

But this isn’t just isolated to B2B. It’s a problem whenever businesses fail to look outside their halls and avoid the crutch of acronyms or terms.

đź’ˇ Insight - We’ve all had those moments where we don’t quite understand something, but we don’t want to ask for fear of seeming ignorant. Jargon confusion is a shared experience, so why do we keep making everything so damn complicated?

You’ll never lose by talking to people like real humans in plain language. Don’t try to seem smart or special by throwing in unnecessary words. The best products are often ones that can be easily explained in layman’s terms.

Often the more complex and flowery language a brand uses, the less audiences understand. In trying to hype up your product, make sure you’re not over-inflating expectations. Let simplicity do the work for you.
