💡 Today’s Insight 💡
🗞 TL;DR - Social media rewards regularity and consistency – but that doesn’t mean you need to be creating new content all the time. The secret to maintaining a great social media presence is, often, repurposing your best-performing content. Sprout Social has some tips to help you work smarter, not harder – and we’ve summarized the top takeaways below.
💡 Insight - First, identify high-performing content. Start out on the right foot with repurposed content by leaning on content that performed well in the past. Consider what people liked about it and what made it perform well. Also, how could you reinvent this piece of content?
One way to repurpose content is by optimizing it for a specific platform. For example, LinkedIn is leaning into TikTok-style short video clips. Take a piece of content that went over all on TikTok or IG Reels and try it out on LinkedIn.
Another great way to repurpose this content is by changing up the format it’s posted in. So, if you’ve got a great performing blog, try turning it into a video and vice versa. In general, short-form video up to 30 seconds long is the most engaging content format at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you should entirely shy away from text or longer-form content.
And lastly, don’t be afraid to post your highest-performing content again. If it resonated once, it can resonate again. Give it some time to breathe, but you’re probably the only one who will notice that you’re publishing something months after you first posted it.
