🗞 TL;DR - If you’re a small business, TikTok can be a great avenue to reach audiences and grow your revenue. The video platform just created a new step-by-step guide for small businesses to find customers on the app using its ad platform. With 92% of global users taking action after watching a TikTok video, this is a guide you should definitely check out.

💡 Insight - Here’s how TikTok says small businesses (or really any business) should get started with TikTok Ads:

  1. Create your TikTok Ads Manager account - This is as easy as registering on their site (desktop works best) and setting up a payment method.

  2. Set up your TikTok Pixel - This allows you to measure ad performance, optimize campaigns, and find customers. TikTok’s Event Builder and Pixel documentation can help you navigate how to do this if you have limited developer resources.

  3. Build your first ad creative - Where the fun begins! Check out TikTok’s SMB Creative Playbook for ideas, best practices, and tools or repurpose one of your own TikTok videos.

  4. Run your first campaign - Follow the steps in the guide to create an ad on the Campaign or Ad Group level.

  5. Celebrate your first TikTok ad campaign! 🎉
