💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Is your brand on Threads yet? If not, what are you waiting for? The platform isn’t that new anymore and there’s solid data showing success for brands on the app. While the app’s metrics are still barebones, Sprout Social crafted a guide on how brands can make the most of the Threads analytics dashboard with key metrics to track.

💡 Insight - Here are the metrics Threads measures natively in their analytics dashboard: Views (how often your profile or posts are showing up in people’s Feeds), Interactions (Likes, Quotes, Replies, Reposts), Follower growth, and audience demographics (location & gender). If you use a third party scheduling platform, like Sprout, you may also get a breakdown of your post analytics by content type (video/image/text).

Here’s how to best use Threads’ analytics to optimize your presence on the platform:

  • Use profile-level insights to understand how your account has performed over time, look for patterns or triggers, and analyze the graph to see what worked/what didn’t

  • Identify top-performing posts using the Post Performance Report and adapt your content strategy accordingly

  • A/B test different posting times and content formats to see what resonates the most with your audiences and non-followers

⚡️ Today’s Headlines ⚡️

🤔 Threads is allowing more political content on the platform. As a result, it may actually solve Threads’ algorithmic problem of failing to surface current events. The move is part of Meta’s recent revised content approach.

✏️ Threads is testing the ability to add a display name & a profile cover photo. The two features are not currently available to the public, but would be a major change to set the platform aside from Instagram and give users more freedom over their identity on the app.

🛍️ Meta offered to publish eBay listings to Facebook Marketplace. It’s a unique partnership that mostly serves to align with EU antitrust orders and offer up a solution to concerns about Meta’s market dominance.
