✨ Today’s Insight ✨
📰 TL;DR - Reddit just shared new insights this week at CES 2024 including the concept that Redditors are using the app to find relevant product recommendations while other platforms are being overrun with AI-generated and paid endorsements.
💡 Insight - Users added “Reddit” to Google searches 32B times in 2023. Consumers want insights from real people as opposed to influencers or digital articles. If you’re curious what people are saying about your brand, consider turning to Reddit.
Reddit’s recent user study showed:
17% of consumer electronics recommendations in the app are in the discovery stage
66% of beauty recs are also in the discovery stage
52% of auto recs happen at the consideration stage
20% of consumer tech purchases see the most recs during the decision stage
And it’s not just UGC that’s popular on the platform. The study showed 79% of people would be interested in seeing brands share information about their products on Reddit.
