Your structured day job provides financial stability, essential benefits (like insurance), and contributes to retirement plans. However, it can also serve as the ideal platform to validate your business idea.
The Product Boss podcast explores this in an episode packed with ways to maintain balance, control, and your free time.

🚀 Today’s Deep Dive 🚀
📰 TL;DR - Ask any social practitioner and they’ll probably tell you that you should always be creating original, unique content for every different social platform. In an ideal world, that sounds great. But when you’re working on scrappy teams with 1 person (or maybe even half a person) tasked with social media duties… it’s just setting yourself up for failure.
Social media scheduler Later suggests working smarter, not harder by repurposing your valuable content to create consistently without burning yourself out. Their Social Media Content Lead Lindsay Ashcraft says, “By using what’s worked on other channels, we can get an idea of what might resonate on new channels without creating extra work for ourselves.”
💡 Insight - Good quality content is good quality content. Squeeze that value out as much as you can. When you repurpose content, you’re able to reach many more people with a single piece of great content.
Reformat and recut content that worked. Take a long-form YouTube video and turn a clip into a TikTok. Take a screengrab from a TikTok video with text and turn it into an Instagram meme. If content’s good, reframe it however possible for as many other channels as you can.
You’ll have “experts” in the social professionals community who believe in the idealistic unique content strategy. Ignore the haters and move forward with what works for you. If you find success in crossposting and reformatting your content, it’s still success and that’s all we need at the end of the day.
