Today’s Insight

📰 TL;DR - Many people still haven’t adopted Threads, but that doesn’t mean the platform is dead. Quite the contrary – some brands are finding a solid amount of success by focusing on community building and creating quality, niche content.

💡 Insight - GBH, a Boston-based public media producer, has been having fun on Threads showcasing content from public children’s programming like Sesame Street or behind-the-scenes content from NPR’s popular radio shows. But they recognize that Threads is still young and testing is the best way to go.

The American Red Cross, the non-profit humanitarian organization, roots their Threads strategy in community and humanizing their brand. While they claim Threads is a place to have more fun than other platforms, they’re still staying relevant to their brand and using the platform as an experimental tool.

CNN uses Threads to keep audiences informed about breaking news and current events, which is interesting due to Threads’ notorious lack of trending, current content. But they’re getting ahead of the curve as Threads improves in this area.

How can Reddit, another social network, show up on a social network? By bringing its magic of memes to another venue. They’re not even trying to divert traffic away from Threads, they’re just posting like their platform’s own superuser.
