🗞 TL;DR - Snap recently shared an overview of its evolving ad tools to provide more capacity for Snap advertisers to reach more users, create better ads, and boost performance. And it’s clearly useful, since Snapchat saw an 85% uptick in SMB advertisers in the app back in April. We’re diving into the tools to give you an overview of how to make the most of the ad opps.

💡 Insight - Here are Snap’s ad tools and how you can best utilize them:

Lead Gen Ads - Snap has outlined recent improvements to this option which have left to a 69% reduction in cost-per-lead and a 62% increase in lead form submission rate. Improvements include enhanced lead optimization and an integration with Zapier to automate lead reporting into your CRM.

App Ads - These improvements include new bidding capabilities and improved optimization to support app installs, app purchases, and “app re-engage purchase” capabilities.

Value Optimization Option (Beta) - This option, still being tested, enables marketers to bid on the basket value of purchases driven. Early test results drove a 38% increase in average purchase cart size and a 4.4x increase in ROAS.

AR Extensions - Rolling out in September, this newer, more advanced offering includes “First Lens Unlimited,” which ensures a promoted Lens gets the first slot in the AR Lens Carousel. The new AR feature has helped drive a 25% to 45% increase in incremental impressions for ad partners. (Also important to note that when AR ads were paired with video ads on Snapchat, campaigns saw 1.6x higher ad awareness lift on average compared with video ads alone!)

GenAI Copy Generator - Less of an ad option, more of a resource for ad buyers. This tool integrated generative AI into the ad copy and creative process and has been particularly helpful for brands looking to localize ad copy in non-English speaking markets.
