  • The Meta-owned platform WhatsApp is taking a page from Twitter with the introduction of Channels. This new feature won’t be the typical direct message chat users interact with, but a way for brands and creators to share content (texts, photos, videos, polls, etc.) to many users at once.

  • Takeaway: With the state of Twitter these days, social platforms are trying to get a leg up with the emergence of tweet-like capabilities. WhatsApp is already used by billions, so the ability for people to receive DM-like messages from their favorite brands and creators may be an exciting way for people to consume content.

  • Currently in its testing phase, LinkedIn is following Meta by introducing OpenAI to its ad copy capabilities. Users will soon have access to suggestive changes and additions to ad copy based on targeting and objectives.

  • Takeaway: Big tech companies continuing to introduce AI functions is nothing new but with the addition of OpenAI to LinkedIn, it may help streamline and generate new and creative ideas for copy specific to the platform your company or brand is advertising on.
