💡 Today’s Insight: Should you go to YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels?
👀 Want More Leads?
If you haven't heard by now: I've been working with a handful of software & service businesses on a new lead funnel involving hyper-targeted ads & nurturing email sequences. The results are starting to speak for themself:
"We are booking 5 to 10 qualified calls a week" -Agency owner
"This turned our sleep list full of thousands of potential buyers into a revenue machine for our SaaS business." -SaaS CMO
...if you want a ton more leads in January & have some budget, I'm looking for 3 more SaaS or Service businesses to round out the year.
💡 Today’s Insight 💡
🗞 TL;DR - So, TikTok might be going away this Sunday in the US. Many brands and creators are already planning their next landing spot, which begs the question: where? The frontrunners are Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and today we’re breaking down the key differences between the two platforms.
💡 Insight - To recap, Instagram Reels are short-form, engaging videos on Instagram’s platform with a similar in-app editing platform to TikTok. They can be up to 90 seconds long and can be resurfaced with your Facebook audience to maximize reach.
YouTube Shorts are short-form videos that can be up to 3 mins long on YouTube’s platform. Brands can repurpose longer-form content on the video sharing platform into shorter, bite-sized clips.
Which one should you choose? Honestly, it depends on where your audience is. If you already have an engaged audience on one platform over the other, choose that one.
YouTube Shorts can be longer than Instagram Reels, lends well to a platform audience that’s already video-obsessed, and is shown to YouTube’s 2 billion monthly active users.
Instagram Reels has optimal native editing, in-app shopping features, and the highest average watch rate of all short-form video platforms. The choice is yours!
