💡 Today’s Insight: The best brands on social media in 2024
👀 Something New Up My Sleeve
I've been working with a handful of software & service businesses on a new lead funnel involving hyper-targeted ads & nurturing email sequences. The results are starting to speak for themselves:
"We are booking 5 to 10 qualified calls a week!" - Agency owner
"This turned our sleep list full of thousands of potential buyers into a revenue machine for our SaaS business." - SaaS CMO
...if you want a ton more leads in January & have some budget, I'm looking for 3 more SaaS or Service businesses to round out the year.
💡 Today’s Insight 💡
🗞 TL;DR - Now that the year is coming to a close, it’s time to reflect on some of the best from this year. Sprout gathered together a panel of pro marketers who narrowed down 2024’s best brands in social across food & beverage, electronics & tech, government, retail, and small businesses – we’ve got the recap for you.
💡 Insight - Here are some of the top brands who made a splash on social this year and how they were so successful:
Beyond Meat, the first public plant-based meat company, is no stranger to being disruptive and starting something new. They’ve been one of the top brands to take over Threads in its early days with their own inventive take on the “unhinged” brand account persona – coming across as chronically online rather than rude or overly promotional.
Design platform Canva showcases their technology in a way that conveys value to day-to-day users without getting caught up in technical jargon. Their ability to balance a fun, internet-friendly approach with serious tech is something all B2B and tech orgs should learn from.
The Transportation Security Administration, or more commonly known as TSA, has an important role in protecting all modes of transportation in the US. But that doesn’t mean they can’t have fun on social, and they’ve been known for being a “princess of puns” according to their Instagram Bio. This is a great example of how to have fun even if your brand is in a “serious” industry like national security.
And we couldn’t leave out one of our favorite brand campaigns from premium luggage brand Away. Local celebrity lookalike contests have become all the rage recently, and they smartly collaborated with winners of each of these contests to advertise their luggage, including Chicago’s own Jeremy Allen White dupe.
⚡️ Today’s Headlines ⚡️

🎥 YouTube made some of its web embeds worse. The real catch is, they didn’t tell anyone they were doing it and it’s not all web embeds. It seems like it’s happening on very popular web embeds and degrades the user experience.
